November 2, 2025 — LSY volunteers in Barrhaven collect over 80 books for children in need! Great cooperation and leadership in making this happen!



October 26, 2025 — LSY volunteers organize a neighbourhood book drive in Kanata, raising ~100 children’s books!

October 20-24, 2025 — LSY partners up with Longfields Davidson High School (LDH) to host a week long book drive! Over 500+ books collected, HUGE thank you to LDH and to community members!


October 10, 2025 — LSY volunteers organize a neighbourhood book drive in Kanata, raising about 150 books for underserved children!




September 20, 2025 — LSY in Barrhaven organizes a community book drive and receives 300+ books from community members! LSY members came together in collaboration to expand the scale of our book collection.




September 19, 2025 — LSY organizes a community book drive and receives 1000 books through donation and collection!

September 12, 2025 — The LSY team conducts their weekly book drive and picks up books from donations centres, collecting ~200 books from textbooks to novels to donate to educational charities



September 10, 2025 — LSY receives a generous donations of ~100 children’s books from DC Canada Education Publishing



August 31, 2025 — The LSY team organizes a book collection in the Barrhaven neighbourhood, raising 150+ books




August 26, 2025 — Our team runs a local book drive, collecting approx. 400 books for under-resourced communities




August 18, 2025 — LSY runs a neighbourhood book drive in Kanata, Ottawa, garnering ~100 books for underserved youth




May 24, 2025 — LSY receives approx. 1,000 books from the Merivale High School Book Club for community distribution
LitSpark Youth received a generous donation of books from the MHS Book Club. We are currently in the process of distributing them to local charities.




Jan 8, 2025 — The LSY team begins the development of the official LitSpark Youth App
Inspired by their own experiences learning English as immigrants, the LitSpark Youth team has begun developing an app featuring a conversational AI chatbot to support daily English practice for underserved communities.
