Our Impact

What We Do

LitSpark Youth is dedicated to providing children with access to books, educational tools, and inclusive literacy programs that spark curiosity and build a lifelong love of reading.

Our Current Goal

We are working on donating as many books as possible to underserved youth. Our current goal is to distribute 5000 books to children and families in need! So far, we have collected about 1000 books, and we’re excited to keep growing to reach even more young readers.

Aside from book donations, we are also in the process of developing the LitSpark Youth App, an interactive tool that helps kids improve their language skills by having real conversations. We aim to provide children who can’t afford traditional tutors an opportunity to practice their English skills for free, and without judgement. Our app is set to launch on the App Store by the end of August.

Why It Matters

Literacy is more than just reading and writing; it’s the foundation for lifelong learning, personal growth, and opportunity. For children and youth, especially those from underserved communities, access to books and language resources can open doors to education, self-expression, and a brighter future.

Unfortunately, many face barriers such as limited access to books, language challenges, and under-resourced schools. Without support, these obstacles can hinder academic success and limit opportunities. According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), adults with low literacy skills are twice as likely to be unemployed and earn significantly less over their lifetime.

At LitSpark Youth, we believe that every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of reading and build essential skills that empower them to succeed. By providing access to books, mentorship, and innovative tools, we work to close literacy gaps and create a more equitable and inclusive community.
